Wizards of the Coast will release 2022 Pioneer Challenger Decks on November 4th worldwide except in Europe, which is delayed until December 9th. 2022 Pioneer Challenger Decks provide players with a 75-card preconstructed Pioneer deck and sideboard. Challenger Decks are geared towards playing with friends and at a Friday Night Magic event. This year's Pioneer Challenger decks feature the archetypes of Izzet Phoenix, Dimir Control, Gruul Stompy, and Orzhov Humans.
Pioneer Challenger Decks retail for around $40 and provide excellent value to players. Reprinted cards found in Pioneer Challenger Decks greatly exceed their retail price before release. Players interested in building a top-tier deck can save money by purchasing a Pioneer Challenger Deck and upgrading it at their own pace. Also, reprinted singles found in Pioneer Challenger Decks usually drop in price depending on the number of copies across decks. Some sought-after singles can decrease prices by as much as 75-90%. In my recent TCGplayer Infinite article, Pioneer Challenger 2022 Decks Buyer's Guide, I highlight which 2022 Pioneer Challenger Decks provide the best opportunity to compete locally. Also, I share the top cards per precon deck for players to pick up for their collection. Playing Pioneer cards like Arclight Phoenix, Thing in the Ice, and Extinction Event will soon become available for a considerable discount. You can use this opportunity to enter the Pioneer format with a budget-friendly Challenger Deck or grab high-demand singles at reduced prices. The Brothers' War is Magic: The Gathering's upcoming Standard set is releasing on November 18th. The Brothers' War takes players back to the epic conflict between two brothers, Urza and Mishra. New and returning mechanics, legendary creatures, artifacts, gigantic machines, and the continuation of Dominaria United's story await players in The Brothers' War. The missing pain lands from Dominaria United are confirmed to be in The Brothers War, but plenty of other cards are yet to be spoiled. Wizards of the Coast's building worlds video for The Brothers' War revealed additional information about its backstory, characters, and events.
My latest TCGplayer Infinite article, 5 MTG Cards Players Want in The Brothers War, highlights five types of cards players want to see in the upcoming Standard set. Nostalgic retro artifacts and pain lands are just two possible inclusions in The Brothers' War. Check out the article if you wish to see other predictions of what is coming. Selesnya is one of Magic the Gathering's ten guilds from Ravnica: City of Guilds. Green and white are the MTG colors that align with Selesnya. Selesnya is best known for swarming the battlefield with creatures and stat-boosting effects. Going wide with multiple creatures in combat is what Selesnya does best.
Selesnya synergies well with +1/+1 counters, lifegain, and token creature strategies in the Commander format. Several Selesnya cards in Commander see extensive play across GW decks. Eladamri's Call and Rite of Harmony are two examples of popular Commander deck inclusions for Selesnya. In my article, 10 Selesnya MTG Commander Cards You Should Be Playing, I discuss several other excellent Selesnya cards for Commander. You may want to try out some of the cards listed in the article in GW Commander decks. |
