The introductory Commander decks released over the past year are great products. I believe they are more playable and appealing than planeswalker deck precons of the past. Some of the cards inside these decks, like Sigarda's Aid and Avenger of Zendikar are powerful and desirable for Commander.

The introductory Commander decks are great buys for playing, but a few stand out as options for potential profit.

In the future, WotC may phase these precon decks out for higher price point Commander products, as demonstrated with Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. The introductory Commander decks may become more expensive as they offer an incredible value for the money. ​

Magic: The Gathering's first crossover set, Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is out in digital and paper form. Upon the release of Forgotten Realms, players immediately gravitated towards Tiamat and Old Gnawbone, driving their prices to around $20.
