Wizards of the Coast continues to say they will not reprint Reserved List cards. However, they do occasionally print functional alternatives to Reserved List cards. One recent example is Wheel of Misfortune in Commander Legends as a functional alternative to Wheel of Fortune.

In my latest article, Functionally Better Reserved List Alternatives, I cover some functional alternatives of Reserved List cards that are arguably better than their Reserved List counterparts. One discussed example of a card that is stronger than its Reserved List alternative is Eladamri's Call and Altar of Bone.
